HAND COLOURED PATINA ON SHOES

Hand painted patina on shoes. This is what it is all about.

We start with an Italian cow leather called crust. It is a beige color. We then apply by hand one or more alcohol based dye colours that we source from Italy. The dye colours are transparent so the final colour you get depends on the leather. The colour will not rub off or wash off in the rain.

The same treatment is used to dye the veg tanned Italian leather soles and heels.

Polishes and cream are used to bring the colours to life and finally there is a lot of brushing with Italian wax to bring the shine. This is what we call finishing and it is done of the uppers as well as the soles and heels. The soles and heel get an extra treatment - again a product from Italy is used to harden the leather so that it is hard wearing.

You can make the all important finishing touch yourself by choosing the colours and combinations that will make the final patina on your shoes, making them one of a kind. You make it your style.
